Like many people I had a dream to start my own footwear company. I looked around and the only place I could find was modern vice in New York who sell their own shoes but develop shoes for others on the side. At first everything seemed legit. I talked on the phone with them, and they where very polite and responded fast. They promised many things that caught my attention ( come to find out it was all bs) after I paid my deposit it was a complete 180 the next day. I had to wait months to get a response for anything. Being new to the footwear industry I did have many questions. When they did respond they were beyond rude to me for no reason. I sent in my designs and they sketched it out on the last which looked somewhat decent. When it was time to make the shoe I didn't hear from them for about 4 months with constant phone calls and emails. I don't live anywhere near the east cost and I got worried so I filed a POLICE REPORT!! in my county. I then sent an email to the owner after what I have done. I finally get an email back stating the booties are being made. And that there was an issue with their computers. The product however I got was nothing like what I wanted and on top of that it took over 7 months to make after I filed a police report!!. I'm out over TWO THOUSAND The owner bullied me, saying things such as, this is what you asked for and this is what you wanted, however I barely had any communication with them.
