I just wanted to warn anyone out there who thinks that 1-800-4-A-PHONE is giving you a deal too good to be true. Well the truth is this company is a real scam. I set up services with them in Feb - 05 and I had no problems setting up, everything went smoothly. Then when Jun - Aug came around i began experiencing problems with my phone service on the weekends only. Every Friday night around 9:00pm until Monday morning around 5:00am I was unable to use the telephone. When I'd make or recieve any calls there was a loud static noise that was happening on the phone. I couldn't talk to anyone else not even the service rep. because they simply couldn't hear a word I was saying. I called up a rep. during the week and explained my situation. I was told that the problem was inside wiring. I didn't beileve for one minute a word that was being told to me. I told them to either give me a refund or send someone to check out the problem. I was told I wouldn't get a refund before someone from their company came to diagnos the problem.

I would have agreed to this until I was told that it would cost me $180.00 for a tech. to come to my home. There was no way I'd go for that. So i began knocking on my neighbors doors to see if anyone else wsa having this promblem. I knocked on 210 doors no one else had this problem. I refused to have a tech come and I refused to be charge a $60.00 fee before anyone ever even came to my home. The problem went away after I called a cursed every manger they had. I have since switched to another company. (AT&T) never will I ever again fall for the too good to be true scam again. I trully beleive that you get what you pay for. I urge anyone out there to stay away from this company they are not a legitimate company.
