Bottom line I am in a position where a phone is a total necessity. They took my money and said screw you. now I am out 60 bucks that I couldn't afford to pay in the first place, and I have no phone service. My story is the same as the others so I'll spare you but now I can't get a job because I can't be reached. I don't know what to do.

Hi Terrell,
I did a little looking for this company. I found some regulatory filings that they did.. a quick google seach for 1-800-4-a-phone will show these.
I also found a discussion (1 discussion) group where this company was mentioned. It appears that they do some business where a person might be cut off by a local phone company for non-payment or a customer doesn't want to use the local phone company for any number of reasons.
What they do is then rent/lease the phone line going into the persons house and then provide local phone call services through their own account.
What would really help is if there was more information.
1) When did you contract with them to provide the service?
2) What method of payment?
3) Did they say how long it would take?
4) Has there been any communication between them and yourself?
