 Larry Pearl is a scam artist. He buys cars from auctions and flips them for way more money. He owns a few auto service shops for his customers to take their new (broken down) cars in to get worked on. Then he has his rental car company. You rent his cars after you buy a car from him that breaks constantly. While your car is in his shop for a month or longer you'll get to rent a car that over heats and needs power steering fluid three times a week and coolant twice a week. He sold me a lemon. I bought a car from him for $ down and owed 3 monthly payments of $500.00 each. I trusted him before buying that car.

When I brought the car home I looked under the hood and the entire engine was covered in black gunk. It looked like burned old bbq sauce stuck in a pan. I wanted to cry. Within the very first week I had to take it into his OC GERMAN Auto service shop to get the squeaky suspension fixed. When I got it back it started over heating. I didn't have that problem before taking it in. I didn't trust his shop after that. I had to put power steering fluid every other day because it had a horrible leak. That splashed out fluid into the fan and that covered the entire engine in black goop. Within the first month I was stuck on the side of the road at night alone. I had to buy AAA roadside to get it towed to a shop near by. I called Larry and he got mad that I didn't take it to his shop to get fixed. I wanted to rent a car from him while my car was in the shop but he wouldn't let me since his shop wasn't working on my car. I rented a car from AVIS that was around $250. My car had to have the water pump replaced. Then after that it over heated 5minutes away from the shop . I had to replace the thermostat and the idle pulley and serpentine belt. So far I had my car just over a month and 2 weeks out of that it was in the shop. The second month I had to get the power steering fixed. They couldn't figure out. What was leaking so they had my car for almost two weeks while I rented a car again. Finally on the third month right before my last $500.00 payment the car quit completely. I didn't want to give him another five hundred dollars for a car that is completely dead . The key wouldn't even turn over inside of the ignition. It was completely dead. On top of that it was leaking transmission fluid and still over heatng. Also the tags were past due over a month and it wouldn't pass smog. It had seven codes come up when I took it to get smogged. So I towed the car to the OC GERMAN in Costa mesa to let Larry's mechanic work on it. I rented a car from him for over a month and a half. He had my car towed elsewhere to have someone else look at it. While he had my car I asked him for the address so I could check on my car and he wouldn't tell me where it was. This was all very frustrating for me and whenever I had to deal with him he would talk his way out of whatever issue I had with him. After talking to him I always felt swindled and confused.

Finally after he had my car for a month and a half He calls me to tell me there's nothing he can do for me . The part he ordered that took so long for him to get was the wrong part and "he doesn't know what to tell you" and " it is what it is." I told him I want to get my car and have someone else work on it and he said I owe him the $500. For the last payment and that his guy is owed at least $500 for the work he put into it and it's in the exact same shape it was in when I took it to him. He still refused to give me the address to where It's located. In cconclusion HE kept my car . I never got to see it again. I got to keep his rental car that over heats, needs a new battery, has a broken windshield, salvaged title, a hood that is not on right and a different color then the rest of the car, needs tires, not smogged , won't pass smog, no licence plate, headlights are taped on with clear tape, check engine light is on, no airbags, no A.C., no pink slip certificate, carpets and upholstery needs to be replaced. It has a power steering leak and that's just the beginning. I am livid! When I told him my point of view and how upset and taken advantage of I felt. He told me I am disgusting and fat and how could AnYBoDy want me? Among some other things that I'll leave out. Please do not waste your time or money dealing with this person. He is rotten to the core and the worst experience I've had while doing business with anyone EVER !
