Complaint Review: 1 Response Locksmith

`1 Response Locksmith was called to repair a screw that would not tighten at the base of the knob on the front door. The 1 Resp0onse locksmith responded, attempted to replace the screw with two other sized screws. Could not get the screws to tighten. Shai (the technician) tightened the top screw and said that this one screw would hold forever. I explained that the top screw had loosened two time already and I had equall well tightened it. I wanted the second screw replaced. He tightened the one top screw again and again guaranteed verbally that it would hold forever. I said that it would NOT !  I want the bottom screw replaced. Shai wamted $50.00 cash for responding (15.00) ans 35.009 for tightening the top screw. I paid him. Obtained a new lock from Home Depo, and called to have him install it.

I ask for the price to install the new lock and he quoted $95.00 to $155.00 plus a $15.00 response charge. I offered $50.00 to complete the job he had started and did not do. (No bottom screw)  His boss accepted, then called back to say Shai would not return unless I paid $95.00 to $155.00 and the $15.00 for another service call. The boss then suggested that I do the job myself.
