Complaint Review: 1 Stop Hom Renewal/Miami Popcorn Removal/Robert Pestana 786-426-2141

 This company comes to your home, demands money up front, or at least half, leaves to go to home depot to purchase plastic becacause they "forgot" theirs... and never comes back.

MY experience was a little differerent because I actually had the plastic and tape for them to use!!! They didnt show up the first day they were supposed to becuase his son was in the hospital. Then he showed up the next day 2 hours late. He claimed to be licensed and insured. He had a guy with him.. After they quoted me a price on the phone and assured me that it would take 1 day to do the job he then said he needed the money upfron, or at least half, to start the job. I said I had to go to the bank and be right back... if the job only took 1 day why not just one check... he said no checks , cashiers check or cash only. so I got a cashiers check and was on my way back, (i was gone for 20 min!) I recieved a very angry phone call from this guy saying that he needs the money NOW! they already started on the work and were half way done.. (??)  I should have been smarter. anyway I got back layed the cashiers check on the counter and say that they only taped some plastic to some walls and scrapped the popcorn off on half of the ceiling... I went down stairs to get a sandwich and when I returned 10 min later THERY WERE GONE!!!! and so was the cashiers check!! and there was a huge mess and the popcorn that they DID remove from half of a ceiling was all over the uncovered floor, on my fuzzy expensive wall paper and on my furniture!!!!! 

 I called him several times, finally answered the phone and he said that they were done for the day and would return tomorrow to finish!! I was unsure of this becuase the guy left some equiptment in the condo. I demanded the check back and he said "no way mama, I am doing the job for you... relax!!" I have text after text of lies and bs for the entire weekend of this guys excuses, dissappearances, his girlfriend called me too and tried to get the equipment back.. aid she was the owner and he was fired and those are the companies equipment. I hung up so he called me and said he would be there monday!  and then Monday he returned he went directly to the property manager, asked for an escort to my unit to get his equipment because he was scared of working for me!!! I called the police after he pushed me aside to get his equipment from my condo, and took off.

This guy is on drugs, he had his girlfriend call me to say that she was the owner of the company, and tried to get the equipment back during the weekend. They stole $1000.00 , left me with a huge mess, DID NOT DO THE WORK , I had to hire someone else for $1200.00 to clean up his mess, fix his mistakes, and do the job correctly.

He has several more complaints against them , the 2 company names "1 Stop Home Renewal" " Miami Popcorn removal", Robert Pestana, who is also a criminal, his girlfriend Amy Salinas, His mother, the craigslist workers he hired Angel.
