Complaint Review: 1625 Glendon Avenue Apartments

This building is owned by a slumlord.... Marcus Pappas. The owner uses this aparmtent complex as his piggy bank. If he needs the funds, he just jacks your rent up every 6 months or so giving you 30-60 days notice. Break ins at this complex are a common occurence and don't be surprised by the smell of urine in the hallways either. The homeless people like to use the hallways as a toilet during the night and early mornings. Marcus is too cheap to put a lock on the front door. Their are 14 units in this building but yet only has 8 mailboxes. You literally have to share your personal mail with other tenants in the building. (Cannot be legal) He likes to call your neighbors "roommates" so he avoids having to have a full 14 unit complex. (Probably only pays taxes on a 7 units complex) Just to be clear, all the tenants have seperate leases and dwellings so why call people around you "roommates". Around 14-15 different people units at this place but the city only accounts for 7 units.....interesting. The city inspectors must be too lazy or stupid to realize it also.

This building has termite, bug and mold problems as well. Marcus Pappas does nothing whatsoever in solving this problem. He has an excuse for everything and it's always some other factor that is not his fault. (but he doesn't mind cashing rent checks) This units in these buildings are lipstick on a pig. Got mold? He just paints over it. Got bugs and termites? He uses a Raid spray can and thinks that solves the problem. Got a leak? He won't cover the cost of damages to persoanl property. Bathrooms have no sufficient ventilation and are poorly designed. Just take a look at this property and see how trashy and rundown it looks. Looks like an old bum motel where crack heads hang out. Marcus only cares about one thing and one thing only. Covering his own a*s and racking in the money every month from rent but neglecting people after they move in. 

Reccomend people avoid this apartment complexc like the plague.
