Complaint Review: 1800 Geeks

     I was contacted by phone because they said that my computer was not working.  They said that they would fix my computer for a price.  They gave me a License ID Number and a Order ID Number.

     The prices that they quoted me were as follow:

1 year AVG + Network Miner (Includes Warranty for Hardware & Software) = $200.00

2 Years AVG + Network Miner (   "           "        "      "               "     ) = $250.00

3 Years AVG +      "        "    (   "           "        "      "               "     ) = $300.00

4 Years AVG  +     "         "    (   "           "        "      "               "     )= $300.00

     Since I do a lot of Banking on line, I wanted my computer to be fully protected so I choice the 4 years and paid them $300.00.

     I had just finished some banking when a notice poped up that the banking had a virus, I called 1800geeks and asked them how did this happen when I am suppose to have virus protection.  They wanted to take control of my computer but I wouldn't let them.

     Microsoft advised me not to let them take control because they were stealing my information.
