I'd been looking for a decent basket weave leather belt for some time. During my searching, I happened upon the promising website of 1880 Western Wear; the belt looked to be good quality and at US $60 wasn't horrendously priced.

I proceeded to order one unit on 09/12/2010. The equivalent currency exited my bank account within a few days. I was quite happy with things thus far; the order process had been facilitated
by speedy and friendly communication from 1880 Western Wear (specifically Gwen Hansen on email address sales@1880westernwear.com).

Being the Christmas season, I expected delays in receiving my newfound wardrobe item. However, by mid January I started suspecting that there was an issue; I logged on to their website and checked the status of my order only to find that it was "pending".

I had in the meantime stumbled upon the ripoffreport website citing some of Western Wear's disgruntled customers' reports. I then sent Gwen an email on 21/01/2011 requesting feedback; no response. The silence prompted me to send an email (to info@1880westernwear.com) informing them of my displeasure; again no response.

Today is 08/02/2011; I guess I've become just another victim of common thieves; people who seek to gain at the expense of others through devious means; appearing to enter into business transactions without any intention of delivering on their obligations. While this approach offers costless short term gain, an honest approach would be far more beneficial in the long run; may they reap what they are sowing; just wish I was there to deliver it to them personally.
