First let me say I am arware I purchased from a buy here pay here and I purchased "as is" but I was sold a vehicle that wasn't safe to drive. I went to in to 1st Auto and Marine last July and told them my situation. The car I had was on its last legs and I needed something dependable for work. I was put in a 2006 Honda. When I test drove it I heard a humming noise from the back end. I was told it was nothing that it has always done that. I was promised it was a safe vehicle. I went thru a finance company for this vehicle.

A week later all the lights stopped working. I took it back and was told that they were not going to fix every little thing wrong with this vehicle. The humming sound in the back was getting louder. I brought this up to them and the fact that the oil change light was on. He said they do not do repairs. He reset my oil change lite and said his mechanic checked out the noise and there is nothing to worry about. It turned out that humming noise was wheel bearings going out and they were so bad I was lucky I didn't get in an accident driving the 60 every day.

Since getting this vehicle last year I have replaced all struts, the whell bearings, the serpintine belt and still have about a grand more worth of work to do on it. There is a difference between "as is" and junk. If you read thier reviews on Google (which weren't there when I walked into the place) you will see I am not alone in my experience. They usually do this to femaies who are stupid enough to trust what they say. One last thing they did that I have since found it is borderline illegal. They broke my down payment up and told the finance company I paid it all at once. These guys are scammers.

I'm a Recovery Agent for a Mortgage Bank.  Have nothing to do with selling cars.  Glad we cleared that up.

Next up, you don't need a ton of $$ to put down on a car if you don't choose to purchase items with problems on a whim, if you choose to pay your bills on time and choose to reasonably use your credit.

Now, we cleared that up.

Your next issue?

Only a Jerk would say something like that. I tried to get them to tell me what that noise was and was told it was my "imination" not everyone has the resources to go to any place and put down  tons of money for a new car. I had better luck with a car I got from someones yard years ago. They basically took junk and put it in thier lot and sold it. You must be a junk salesman too.

Go ahead and get mad. YOU CHOSE to continue with the purchase of a car with KNOWN problems! It was YOU who heard the noise and it was YOU who decided to buy this thing with a KNOWN problem on an "as is" basis. It is YOU who seems to think "as is" doesn't mean "as is"! Let me save you the effort. Don't bother wasting your time saying, "You must work for them!". I'll tell you ahead of time, I don't!!!
