1st Credit Of America ripoff Told they had a claim against me, but didn't say why without prying. Chicago Illinois
My report is similar to some that I have read about 1st Credit of America who say they are collecting for My Perfect Credit. Rude. A phone caller saying that they had a claim against me. The first couple of times that they phoned they did not give me any information about themselves. I finally phoned them back but did not give them any information. I did not ask for any business license numbers which I should have. I am still trying to find out if they are a legal company. They are not in my state and I don't know what law enforcement agency has jurisdiction over them.
They claimed that they have sent me letters, but I don't remember seeing any. I may have seen them and not recognized what they were. So many businesses are sending out mail that is unsolicited and which is just trying to get your business. I would like to know more about 1st Credit of America and My Perfect Credit. One odd thing, when I phoned them using my phone discount account my operator said that I had dialed an invalid number. I did that twice and then phoned 1st Credit of America using my regular phone service, which worked fine. They must have a block of some kind on their phone.
