1st Financial Bank USA Lying phone reps! ripoff North Sioux City South Dakota
Hello,
Last month I was unable to make a payment on this credit card (VISA) due to a medical bill I had to pay. It was my first time that I was unable to pay, so I called up the credit card & spoke with someone. I was told because I was in "good standing" & had not previously defaulted, always payed on time, etc. she would make an exception & even supposedly credited a late fee to my account.
Not even 2 days later though, I got over 10 calls from the company, stating " I was now in collections for the account, because I had not payed" I called them & told them I spoke with a rep about this, gave the "details of the call" & the new phone rep told me I was lying, that I had never called, & that I NEEDED to make a payment NOW or else!! She started to get very hostile, & yelled at me, she then put me on hold for over 10 min, I just hung up then.
Now I'm still receiving numerous calls from them daily. Has anyone dealt with this company & has any advice for me? I am a college student, with fairly good credit, never had a credit problem like this before. I will now defintely record all calls I make to ANY credit company, including my cell comp. Thanks everyone!

I am a college student who has worked my a*s off in construction trying to make a living and am always in good standing with people. anyways when I lost my job with 1fb usa they were very good and understood my situation. my balance was at 900 and my min payments were at 20/mnth. Tell me something How much was the minimum payment? and if it even as little as 50 then why in hell could you not afford it. You know what they say about if people are mentally incapable they shouldn't be signing into contracts and have legal right to get out of them. Get yourself a good lawyer I'm sure, even thought the phone rep didn't, the judge will. Learn to be responsible and pay your debtors as you would want those who owe you to pay you back as much as the banks do. Anyways I like this site but one thing I notice is the only people who complain are those who are delinquent, don't know how to manage there money, should learn to read, spend peoples money and then complain when they have to pay them back.....The list goes on I really don't have time.

I have an account with them too and I got a letter from them in the mail recently and the first line was:
"we hate it when computers make mistakes, but sometimes, they do."
wow, what a professional way to admit that someONE (not someTHING) made a mistake! the letter went on to say that they had been charging me the wrong interest rate and that it was too LOW and they were increasing it, but giving me a $10 credit for the trouble.....OOOOHHH!!! GOODIE!! TEN DOLLARS!!! that will help with the whole thing! This is after the letter I got 6 months ago saying that my credit card number had been "compromised" by a security breach but to "not worry" because everything would probably be okay.....
I plan on working my a** off this summer to pay off my balance and close this account because I am really unhappy with the level of professionalism and the customer service. This is just a FEW issues I have had with them, so trust me Linda, I feel your pain.

We read about these situations all the time. I can't pay my credit card but I have to pay my medical bill. What happens if you don't pay your medical bill? Or, pay your medical bill with your credit card.
