My father was in need of a used truck so he could do work around his house.  We went to the 1st Stop Car shop and looked at a truck.  The first truck was a Ford and I didn't like the way that it was looking because it had some rust on its undercarriage that appeared to be supporting the springs for the back wheels.  I'm a Retired US Army Automotive Mechanic and Maintenance Technician so I knew that truck had problems and advised my father not to buy that truck.  Then when he took it for a test drive as I sat in the passenger seat.  It always pulled to the left when you step on the brakes and there was obviously some brake rotar wear because of the pulsation felt when you step in the brakes.  Needless to say we took it straight to our local Automotive Service Station at Sunrise Auto to have it checked out by Mike.  Mike put that truck on the hydraulic lift and started showing us the problems with that truck. He recommended to my father that he doesn't not buy that truck because there are too many things wrong with it.    We immediately took that truck back to the dealer and told him that we wanted to look at the other truck.

2002 Dodge Ram 1500  Pick-up truck looked really good from the external appearance.  Then when we got the Dealer's license plate from the salesman, my father climbed in the truck as I was putting the license plate on that truck.  Then I climbed in and we took that truck for a Test Drive.  While we were test driving it I was checking the controls on the Dash Panel (Air Conditioning, Heater, Defrost, Radio and they all were in working order as I complimenting on how it could chill a Six-Pack of Diet Coke if we needed it to do that.  However, while we were test driving, my father noticed that the Speedometer was not working.  We tried to take that truck to the Sunrise Service Station to have it checked out by Mike, but it was closed when we arrived.  Then we took that truck to my dad's place and I decided to conduct a complete inspection on this truck with my Dad verifying everything with me.  I noted that the truck needed 4 tires, brakes, and the Speedometer to be repaired before it would pass Pennsylvania State Inspection.  We took that truck back down to the !st Stop Car Shop Dealer and we went inside to talk to the salesman.

We told him that we would consider buying that truck if they would provide 2 new front tires, Spare tire, brake pads, fix the rust problem at the drivers side door are and rocker panel, and Speedometer to be repaired or replaced.  The salesman said he couldn't promise that so he first called the owner of the Dealership (his boss) and told him what we said to ask if the boss would approve of those repairs as means of committing to this sale of that truck.  The owner of the dealership said yes and told us to bring that truck to the shop on the following day and he would make an appointment to fix everything.

I followed my dad that next day to the shop where they do their repairs to make sure that he could get all of the registration, licensing, and repairs that were agreed upon to be taken care of.  Their shop was not in the best appearance of being organized at all because of the way that things were just laying around so I naturally had some discomfort with that.  Then when all of the licensing and registration procedures were completed the owner set an appointment for my father to bring that truck back to have the Speedometer repaired or replace, 4 new tires, and brakes.

My father took his truck back for those repairs and when they said everything everything was good except the speedometer still didn't work because of possible malfunction in  the speedometer itself or the sending unit from the transmission.  When my father picked up his truck and brought it back home, I noticed that the windshield was cracked at the upper right side, the speedometer didn't work, the tires were not changed, the brakes were not serviced or replaced, and the Instruments Panel that controlled all of the instruments no longer worked.  There was also a cowl vent that was missing from the right side front bumper.  There was no Air Conditioning, No Heat, No Defrost, and the Radio didn't work anymore.  There was wires that were just laying on the floor at the base of  the instrument panel that showed someone was inside of the dash to do some work and left wires exposed without proper taping or insulation applied to the bare ends.

When this was all brought to the attention of the Dealership Owner, he said that the truck already had a cracked windshield before they brought it into their shop.  That is not true because I was there when my father dropped off that truck as I am the one who brought him back home.  This dealership has flagrantly used deceptive measures to sell a truck to a customer that is illegal and should be charged with those criminal offenses (Sale of Vehicle with known Speedometer alteration or inoperability, Improper repair of body damages, Breaking Customer Equipment - Windshield without providing replacement, Illegal patching of muffler - Concealment or rusted through muffler, not repairing brakes as agreed upon prior to sales deal).  When the dealer requests the buyer to sign the papers stating that the Speedometer is in fact the actual mileage of the vehicle and it has not been altered or disabled in any way, then that dealership is responsible for the fraudulent reading of the mileage of that vehicle which is a crime.

This problem was already reported to the Pennsylvania State Police at the Cherry Ridge Police Station in which Officer Cory Tyler was trying to conduct the investigation against this 1st Stop Car Shop as reported by myself, my brother, and my father.  Officer Tyler even came to my father's place to check out this truck and then went to the 1st Stop Car Shop to question the salesman about this matter.

My father had to take this truck to 3 different Automotive places to get the problems taken care of which resulted in more money being required to be spent to make it legal to use this truck on the road.  The attachments that I have available will show everything that has transpired thus far and this 1st Stop Car Shop need to either reimburse my father for the faulty deal they did with my father, provide him with a Newer Completely Pa State Inspected and Safe Truck, or be closed down and have legal actions taken against them under the Magnuson-Moss Warrant-Act.  http://www.mylemon.com/magnuson-moss-warranty-act.php
