2-10 was notified of our tenants air conditioner not working on July6th 2012. On Sunday July 8th 2-10 authorized an outside vendor to diagnose the problem. They did not allow the outside vendor to repair the unit. 2-10 wanted Gorman Mechanical to give a second opinion. The report confirmed the first diagnosis. We have called Gorman Mechanical and 2-10 at least one to three times a day for someone to repair or replace the unit. At first they were going to repair it then replace it and now repair it but, we have to pay an additional sum because some of the work will not be covered. Today is July 17 th our tenants still do not have air and the temperature in Texas has been anywhere from 90- over 100 degrees in the last eleven days. We would never recommend Gorman Mechanical or 2-10. The owner of Gorman Mechanical states he cannot call 2-10 to help resolve this problem. This should be considered a crime when you can leave a family with two small children without even being able to live in their home for almost two weeks. This will not only cost additional fees to repair this unit but, we have to reimburse this family their rent . We last spoke with 2-10 last pm and Harry from SNA would be making the decision as to how to proceed .This according to Hannah from 2-10. PLease help.

Cancel the warranty

You are blaming the wrong party.  That home warranty is to blame.  I never recommend them because they make all decisions based on what is best for them right at this moment and not for you in the long run.  Forget about the warranty, hire your own contractor, and make your own decisions.  You've now gone ten days without air for your tenant; unless you have some really old or oddball unit, most A/C contractors can repair a unit within hours.

You already have two contractors who arrived at the same diagnosis.  Your warranty company is just trying to find a way not to pay your claim.  Get the unit repaired and then sue the bastards for breach of contract.
