Complaint Review: 232-rent

Beware of renting from 232- rent  The place I received from them was nothing what they promised my place was a total joke  232-rent , your banners you have plastered all over your properties "welcoming people home" does not hide the fact , My place came with the following "creature conforts";  1. The first night I stayed at my new apartment I was awakened by a wild alarm clock, yes it turned out to be a fat RACCOON!

2. Then a couple days later I noticed I was getting bit slot and me and my girlfriend went to the doctor and was informed that the bites were BEDBUGS , I'm not kidding! It turned out she was highly alergic to the bites!

3. I also had a $400.00 utility bill even thou they claimed the apartment was energy efficient and had a brand new furnace, it turned out that the furnace was broken and not working right

4. I was forced to accept the apartment as I had already given proper notice to my prior landlord , he had my old apartment commited to another renter! I signed a lease with 232 rent with the understanding they would have me a beautiful apartment a couple weeks later when it was my time to move.  They never delivered on their promices! My place was a joke, when I attempted to call their maintenance issue number I received a recording which promised a prompt call back. I never received a call back, my issues were never addressed , my place was patched together, was drafty at best! And never vermin free!! I gave a proper 30 day notice explaining my issues and the reason I could not fulfill my lease, however they still kept my deposit and threatened to sue me for the remainder of the lease Also my place was flea infested from the prior tenants pet as I never had a pet! Buyer beware I guess?, so when you see their crazy banners , RUN!  Rent from ANYONE ELSE but 232-rent
