I signed up for one month ($10) of the VIP Pass on 8/2. I cancelled it one week later, since I had only wanted it for one month (the service person who signed me up was aware of this, and had advised that I call to cancel in one week). I am completely certain that I cancelled the VIP Pass one week after 8/2.

24 Hour continued to charge my father's credit card for the VIP Pass on 9/27 and 10/25, two months after I had cancelled the VIP Pass.

I called 24 Hour central office today, 12/28. They informed me that their records show I had cancelled on 9/28. Again, I can assert without a doubt that I had cancelled a week after 8/2. However, ordinary citizens do not keep written records of their phone calls for cancellations. Therefore, I unforunately do not have a written record of the phone call I had made a week after 8/2.

It is a mystery to me how 24 Hour could have made the mistake of recording a call made around 8/9 as a called made on 9/28. I suspect they may make this "mistake" on a regular basis with their customers. The amount is small (I only lost $20) and they may figure that most customers will either not notice the extra $10 or not care enough about losing such a small amount to do anything about it. I am filing this complaint because I find 24 Hour's practices unjust and unethical, and would like to see their practices improved.
