Complaint Review: 24 Locksmithing

Operates out of FL, this particular service (sub contractor) took place in Nashville TN.

 Google ad and website says $15 service.  It's a bait-and-switch.  Definitely cost me $70 to get my freaking keys out of the car.  The guy who did the work took 2 min, and had me sign the paper without ever telling me what I was paying.  Basics of business 101:  "your total is" before saying "just sign here". 

i would have asked...but, oh, I trusted their advertising a little more than I should have.  $15 is the "service fee"...and consumers are supposed to know what that means.  Misleading = no integrity.  Sure, they're not breaking any laws, but their getting by however they can.  Look for ads that tell you exactly what you're going to be paying.  Honesty = credibility.  

"Well, you never asked!"  the receptionist said when I called to complain. I should have, right, fair enough.  Except...your ads, at least I thought, told me. Mmk, that's all I needed to know, that your business practice is don't ask, don't tell, get the cc numbers.

Do your research with locksmiths.  Fall under the same sleezy category as windows and used car sales.
