Complaint Review: 24ProtectPlus - GalleriaUSA

I too was ripped off by ProtectPlus and Galleria USA.
I tried to no avail to reach the number of the Galleria office. Always getting put on hold and then disconnected because there were no reps available. This went on for four months.

Are they buying info from CIC who does the online credit checks? They had phone number from where I lived six months ago, and my debit card number, they never once found anything with my name on it.

I called the number at ProtectPlus, and they went through their records and could not find ME. I finally had to give them my debit card number. To my surprise it was listed under my room mates name, since at the time I did a credit check back in August of 2003 that was my contact number. They go by your phone number, not your name. I asked where they got my information, she said someone must have done a credit check using my card info, well I had given them my current phone number and it came up as the lady who previously had my number, hmmmmm guess they know how to use phone look up too eh? After finding my account I mentioned that they were not the only company that had ripped off my account, that there was something called GalleriaUSA that had been deducting money from my account also. She responds by saying OH, I can help you with that also.

I also went to my bank, they had me fill out a report and also, changed my debit card, so that the number on the old card would no longer work for any company trying to take money from my account.

I did recieve all the money back that they had taken out of my account. If you let them know that you have contacted your bank, that you have filed an FIT form I think that will help with your refund. I got money back from when they first took money out back in September.
