A very popular hair shampoo and conditioner from the 70's has been discontinued and unavailable for many years.
There is a website however, that claims this product is now available once again.
The pictures of the product look exactly like we all remember, and the add says it is the original formula.
It is not.
I am very careful about what I purchase on the internet but this website is very clever about how they fool you.
I ordered (1) large shampoo and (2) small conditioners. With shipping, I paid nearly $52.00 for my order.
The "large" shampoo was extremely small, and came in a bottle that I have never seen before. The fragrance was completely different and the ingredients are not listed.
the (2) small conditioners were "sample" size. the same thing you would pay $1.00 for in the travel section of your grocery store.
Both fragrances are different and separate from each other.
They came tightly wraped in bubble wrap and black masking tape that covered the entire top of the bottle. I had to use a razor blade to get it open.
Their return requirements say you will get a refund if the bottles have not been opened. there is no way to tell that this product is authentic unless you open it.
I paid the high amounts for the product and the shipping believing that this was indeed the original shampoo and conditioner from the 70's. I was excited to find it and I admitt I was fooled. Please, let's stop this guy from ripping off anyone else. the original fragrance of "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" IS NOT available and has NOT made a comeback.
