My wife and I had our 1st ever holiday in NY Sept 2 2006, loved the place but I needed to buy a CF card for my camera so I entered the dreaded 47th Digital Store in Broadway.

I walked in and asked the guy behind the counter for a 1 GB CF card for my camera, he showed me the CF card and then immediatly started to try and sell us a video camera for what he said was a very cheap price, which it wasn't, talk about a pushy sale person. I eventually was talked into buying the CF card for 162.56 dollars, when I got out side the shop I popped into my camera to try it, no response, so I took it back into the shop to complain, give the guy his due he offered to exchange it for a 2GB CF card for another 108.75dollars a total of 270.81 dollars, I deparatly needed the Cf card, so I purchased it. More fool me, the goods he sold were ok but pricey.
In s the it ammounted to about 145.00, when returning to the UK found I had been ripped off, you can buy these for about 98.00.

I know different stores have a variety of prices , but I thought what 47th Digital had charged was somewhat a total rip off.

I would not advise any one to shop at this store..
I have just purchased another CF card from US on ebay when I got back home and paid 45.00.
