4Cricut; Provo Craft; Provocraft I cancelled the order; tried to contact the company (telephone and email), and did so daily over the course of a week ... 10 days after my last email to the company and 14 days after I had initially cancelled the order, they charged my credit card! The next time I order a product on line (and it doesn't matter that I 'seen' it on TV), I will check for a Ripoff Report first.

This is not my first time ordering online, and I've found there are just certain things that are common for all companies ... that is, until I placed an order for the CriCut.

I went through their ordering processing, but was shocked when, after adding a few accessories, I was not able to review the order. I was fully expecting to see some sort of summary page and a total (with the option to change my mind) PRIOR to submission of the order to my credit card. NOT SO. The next thing I know, I'm at the "thank you for your order" page staring a $443.59 amount being charged to my credit card; almost 10 times that of the "hook" amount ($49.95). I tried using the "back page" feature but it was now "unavailable" on my toolbar.

I immediately began telephoning the company. I NEVER got through to anyone, ever. I then emailed what I thought was customer service. An hour later MAILER-DAEMON@yahoo.com was notifying me that it was unable to deliver my message. My stomach started to knot ...

I googled 4CriCut and saw listed among the responses, a link to Ripoff Report. After reading the report filed on 12/27/2007 about CriCut, I redoubled my efforts to cancel the order.

For another week I telephoned, left voicemail messages and emailed Provo Craft and NEVER got any response. I contacted the bank and was told there was nothing they could do until the charge was actually made. They also instructed me to keep copies of my attempts to cancel the order. I also contined to monitor my bank account on line.

Then, ten (10) days AFTER my last email cancelling the order, 4CriCut charged my VISA. Not only did they charge my VISA, it was for a different amount!

I've instituted a FRAUD INVESTIGATION with my bank, and have cancelled the card.

It's a shame, too. My sisters and I own a greeting card company and we thought the technology would add something extraordinary to our creations. I had even gone so far as to investigate Provo Craft's larger machines with an eye toward the future. I'm glad we found out sooner, rather than later.
