Complaint Review: 5 Point Rentals/ 5 Point Realtors

I rented a house through 5 points. The house looked good but what I did not notice is that whenever I stopped up the tub to take a bath the water would run downstairs into the livingroom and my childrens bedroom. I put in several work orders but nothing was done.

The basement was so filthy that I never went down there. My windows were nailed shut and the ones that did open had no locks on the windows. The back door could not open. I would think that this is a fire hazard. I had the health department come out and they told them that they had 30 days to make the repairs however nothing has been done.

Later on I found a bat flying around my living room. I called 5 point and nothing was done. My rent is due on the 7th each month but they have been charging me late fees on the 4th each month. I went to the office and spoke to them about it and they claimed to have taken the late fees off but I got an eviction notice of over $200 in late fees which I do not owe. I ask them what day do I pay my rent on and they have no records of me paying my rent at all.

5 points are slum lords and the only thing that they do know how to do is collect the rent. I think that they are retaliating against me because I called the Health department.I pay $650 for rent and I have the right to feel safe in my home.
