I had previously purchased a Kia Rio in 2005. After being notified by Popular Kia in Brooklyn NY that the vehicle was a recall I decided to take the car back for an inspection. When I got there they told me that the car was unfit to drive and persuaded me into getting another vehicle that would be safer for me and my daughter. I knew nothing about financing a vehicle and trusted them to give me a good bargin. Long story short I ended up with a 16,000 dollar car loan when my previous vehicle was paid off. I continued making payments thinking that in 6 monthes I could refinance the vehicle.
About a year later I went to 5 towns Mitsubishi in Inwood NY to refinance my vehicle or get into a vehicle with lower payments. The guy who I spoke with showed me a Infiniti G35 and promised that if I took the vehicle that I could come back to him and he would refinance. He also told me that the dealers at the other dealership who I had previously brought a car from had sold me a bad deal. I didnt know what to do because I was paying alot for a vehicle that had no value. They told me that they would give me 7,000 for the kia rio that I had. When overlooking the bill of sale not only did they not give me 7,000 for the vehicle, they added thousands of dollars in negative equaty and gave me a bill of 46,000.00 not including the payoff for the vehicle. My payments sky rocketed to 1000 dollars a month. When I returned to the dealership after 6 monthes when I could no longer handle the payments They were Long GOne!!!!!!!!!! The dealership was out of business. I lost the vehicle and now I am stuck with a bill.
