last year, I took out a $200 payday loan from this place. Every pay period from there on, they took out an additional $90 to extend the loan, since I could not pay the $360 owed (160 intrest). I finally couldnt afford to have $90 thrown away every payday anymore, so my only choice was to close out the bank account. Through out the year I have gotten a lot of harrasing phone calls from them. Today they called my work and left a message saying that "investigator wilson pls call back reguarding your ssn & id #" when I called back the 1-888 number, it was a company hire by them telling me that if I cannot pay the $560 by this friday (dont know where they got that amount from) then they were going to sue me in court for 5 times the amount taken out, and suspend my drivers lisence for bounceing a check over state lines (this was a payday loan i did on the internet) I argued with the guy for a minute, but decieded to give them the name and phone number for my lawyer. He wrote down the name and number and then hung up. I know payday loans are horriable, and no one should resort to that. But at the time, I had no choice. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Pay it back

People that pay their debts have good credit... others never get anything on credit. Do not do it to yourself-- just pay it back, if only twenty bucks a week.

It's called a loan for a reason

and that reason is you have to pay them back. You can't just decide it's too inconvenient and not pay. It doesn't work like that. Why do you think you are entitled to free money? I hope they garnish your wages and/or destroy your credit. Maybe that will teach you a lesson. I'm betting it won't and you will come crying here again when you are turned down for another loan because you just close your bank accounts and not pay them back.
