5x5 Connect, Inc. Preferred Fundraising, Community Prime, 5x5 Connect, Buy Preferred, Buyer Topia. Non-working internet business scams. Beware. Warminster Pennsylvania
Beware of doing business with 5x5 Connect, Inc. or any of their affiliated platforms. Any time you purchase "an oppurtunity to make money" be very careful. Buying a "region" or "right" to use software in a certain area is an outdated method to fund ventures through additional members signing on. Sound a lot like a Ponzi scheme, huh?
These platforms are non-working and do not make people money. Whether intended to be or not, they are scams.
Community Prime / Preferred Fundraising / Buy Preferred are essentially recreations of Buyer Topia, which was a fundraising co-op that failed. 5x5 Connect was sued by Buyer Topia co-op members and made substantial settlement payments. http://www.ct.gov/dob/cwp/view.asp?a=2246&q=528898
Many other unhappy people do not speak up due to a set of "by-laws" the organization gets people to sign. The owners of 5x5 Connect, Inc. also use scare tactics to try and quell people from speaking of the failures of the platforms. He will push until people go to court and then at the very last moment try to settle out of court to ensure his record stays "clean."
It is illegal for an organization to show a revenue model and promise profits without substantial evidence that that is the case. These people will show you revenue models speaking of 6 figure salaries and 4 hour work days. You will hear a lot of empty promises.
Ask for documentation. Ask for true evidence. Tax records that show profits, websites that are still running, other happy members who are profiting from these ventures. You will never see this, because these "fundraising oppurtunities" do not work. Rely on hard evidence not empty promises when making business decisions.
Additionally, the internet is not an easy way to make money! E-commerce is extremely hard and in no way a sure go at profit. 5x5 Connect does not even know the ins and out of e-commerce. If you still are considering purchasing one of these ventures after reading the multiple rip off reports (http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Buyertopia-or-Preferred-Fundraising/internet/Buyertopia-or-Preferred-Fundraising-or-Buyer-Topia-or-Buy-Preferred-or-5X5-Connect-Stole-1114059 , http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Buyertopia/internet/Buyertopia-Preferred-Fundraising-or-Buyer-Topia-or-Buy-Preferred-or-5X5-Connect-or-Commun-1138583 ) please please please hire an atorney to make sure the claims they are making are legitimate and hire a programmer or coder to go through the code and technology. Ask the coders advice on the legitimacy of this venture. They will not be impressed.
Whether or not they intend it to be, it is a scam. Chances are you will never see your money back, and you will be tied to malicious, mean-spirited, unethical people.
Steer clear of:
5x5 Connect
Buyer Topia
Preferred Fundrasing
Buy Preferred
Community Prime
Avoid Business with:
Nicholas Burkholder
Michael Celec
Duncan Graham
Some would argue that people who blindly jump into business ventures without understanding the risks or protecting themselves deserve to be screwed over. I do not believe this to be true. Peope are manipulative and empty promises are enticing. Be very careful dealing with these people.

3rd party investigation - really?

These guys will do anything to get people to invest. I'm pretty sure that the "3rd party investigation" that was just reported on here is just another Michael celec posting. Heck, he even uses the same words in these postings that he does in many of his emails such as "egregious," but hey, this is just my opinion.
Who is the third party that investigated? What is their name and contact information?
People, just read the Connecticut "consent order" that they all signed. It tells you everything you need to know about these people. Or even read the ripoff report posted from a recent employee.
One line directly rom the consent order:
"Respondents violated section 36b-67(6) of the business opportunity act by engaging in fraudulent conduct"
That's all you really need to know in my opinion.
