On the 5th of April I purchased a used car from A&A Autos, at the time of purchase they recommended I also purchase an after market warranty, which I did.  I drove the vehicle a week and two days when the vehicle started making a loud knocking noise, and smoke poured from the engine. I immediately shut off the car, and a few days later had the car towed to a shop for repair.

After having my vehicle over a week I received a call from the repair shop stating several problems with the car, asked where I purchased the vehicle, and basically informed me that I was sold 1/4 of a car.  Per the repair shop, the vehicle was pieced together just long enough to make the sale.  There are lug nuts missing from all 4 wheels, and parts in the engine are glued together.  I was informed that the vehicle was not safe to be driven on the road.

I understand the purchase of a used vehicle is "As Is" on a used car lot, but it should be sold in safe and usable condition and not pieced or glued engine parts.  Now I know why the sales guy pushed for me to buy the after market warranty, he knew the car was pieced together and in need of major repair, he just wanted it off his lot.  I really want to sue this dealership.  Do I have grounds for a law suit?

The complaint that has been filed on rip off report is very difficult to answer because I do not know what car this is, who the customer is and really what the problem was. I can say that every car that we sell gets inspected by a third party repair facility, is reconditioned and then has a limited 3 month, 3000 miles warranty added to the vehicle free of charge. We, of course sell used vehicle and there is no way to know what will happen to them in the future. All vehicles will need maintenance and repairs, and at times do fail, we strive to put a good vehicle out on the road and back it up by adding a warranty. We have very few issues or complaints from our customers.

I do not know who filed this complaint, however, I am sure we helped out with the repairs. Even though it was sold as is.
