A-ABC Appliance ruined my yard, poor service, unethical business practices Dallas Texas
On Friday, July 30, 2004, A-ABC Appliance installed an AC unit at my next door neighbor's house in Frisco. When they finished the installation, the installers dumped compressor oil in my yard which killed the grass.
The area in which the installers dumped the oil was away from the area where the installation took place so there is no way that they could say it was an "accident". I do not feel their action were intentional but I do feel that that used poor judgement and that they should be accountable for their actions. And lets not forget the environmental harm caused!
On August 02, 2004, I called A-ABC Appliance and spoke to LaKeisha, a customer service agent, and told her of the incident. She questioned me as to whether or not "I saw them pour the oil onto my lawn?" I informed her that I was home that day...all day. She stated that Dennis Buckles, Service Manager, would return my call.
To date, Mr. Buckles has not returned my call nor has any representative from A-ABC Appliance come out to inspect nor repair the damage done to my yard.
This goes beyond the damage done to my yard, there is an environmental issue here as well. This company does not practice safe and ethical practices when discarding compressor oil after completing an installation of an AC unit.
