A & E Factory Service failed to keep repair appointments--inability to complete repairs Houston Texas
My story is similar: a Maytag refrigerator less than two years old stopped cooling. The likely defective part, a compresser, is under warranty. Maytag/Whirlpool push A & E as the company able to repair it fastest/best: the reality is that they don't show for their appointments, and if/when they do, have no idea how to repair the appliance.
It seems to be a trick stratagem to get you to throw up your hands and buy a new one.
The best approach:
--Write to your state Attorney General and urge that A&E be banned from working in your state
--Buy no more Whirlpool or GE appliances, and write to the managing directors of both companies to inform them of your decision
--Write a letter to your local newspaper -- after several hundred thousand people read it, Whirlpool may realize that the jig is up
--Write a letter of complaint to Consumer Reports.
I'll never buy a Whirlpool, Maytag or GE appliance again -- am going high end from now on.
