A Forever Recovery RECOMMENDED Verified TRUSTED Business REVIEW: A Forever Recovery is 100% dedicated to operating a safe and secure addiction treatment facility that focuses on customer satisfaction. The residential program will continue to improve it's facility and offerings to help clients.
My son was searching for a Rehab Center for Alcohol Addiction. In desperation his wife called a " Referral Service for a list of Treatment Centers for help. The one and only one the man gave her was A FOREVER RECOVERY IN BATTLE CREEK MICHIGAN. He immediately got a call from a man saying he wanted to help them. He took her insurance info and soon called back stating her insurance was a preferred provider and gave them more info.
The night before they left the Man from the Rehab called and told his wife the most important thing she do first and foremost was to change her address with her Insurance Company to THEIR address. First Red Flag. He also told her to print it showing it had been changed and bring it to them. She asked what if they got her insurance information on claims not relating to the Center and was told they would send them to her. ???? For some very odd reason she could not log on to her Insurance Account, would not let her on ( her Guardian Angel ??) She is on this Insurance Web Site often with no problems in the past. ???
The next morning they headed out to the center, an 8 hour drive. Feeling very skeptical she finally called her Insurance Company and found out they had never been contacted from this Rehab Center, they were NOT a preferred provider with her Insurance and they had never contacted them. When she called and confronted them with this, thier reply was they were going to bill it as inpatient hospitilization which is FRAUD again. Second Red Flag. They also wanted her to bring $ 5,000 in cash up front for the intake.
Listening to her gut she turned around after being half way there and went home and was able to log into her Insurance Company Web site.. These people LIED about everything from the very beginning. When she got home and called them and ask them IF when she got there IF they were going to make her sign over power of attorney to the Center they would not answer her.
These people preyed on my family at the most critical time of their lives. They heard the desperation in her voice and took great advantage of her and my Son. They LIE about everything. Please before anyone even considers placing a patient in the A FOREVER RECOVERY IN BATTLECREEK PLEASE READ ALL THE POSTS REGARDING THIS CENTER. They are strickly Scientology Based and will torture your loved one to no end and will keep asking for more money and will LIE to you about everything from the beginning to the END.

if you search a forever recovery, a lot of fake referral sites pop up. They all are inside jobs by management, and not third-party legit sites. I have been warning people on the legit ones like yellowpages, etc. Why would they ask for all insurance correspondence be sent to them? sounds like trouble. the person doing the billing has less than 6 months clean, and not a college educated MSW, that is needed to get insurances to pay. They are all about the money, why else you have to pay so much up front?

Rebecca,
Seems strange they only suggested the one place for your son. Maybe you ought to report them too! From what I've read these places have access to hundreds of rehabs.

Rebecca,
What was the name of the Referral Service?
Did you find it on the web?
I am glad your relative listened to their gut and turned around. This is insurane fraud at it's finest and needs to be reported to the authorities.
There are many reports on A Forever Recovery here on this site under different headings. Please read them and know you are not alone and your story is quite typical.
Please report your experience to the Michgian Attorney's Generals Office. Other reports have been filed and the more they get, the faster they will take action. Also look up agencies on the internet to report insurance fraud directly. AFR is a scam.
