A Great American Balloon Company is a scam. I purchased two flights while on a vacation in Arizona (~$400). The flights were scheduled via telephone and the day of the flights the company never showed-up to the departure site. When I called to complain, the employee apologized and asked that I rescheduled with their sister site in Jacksonville (closer to my hometown at that time). I spent over 14 months trying to schedule a flight. The company refused to schedule my flight for a variety of reasons (they claimed bad weather, low season, pilot unavailability, etc.). When the compnay finally agreed to schedule my flights, they again did not show up on the scheduled date. Upon complaint, they again promised to fly me and my guest by the end of the month. By the end of the month, their promise had not been honored. After several complaints the company finally agreed to refund me because they could not honor their promise. I asked for a refund guarantee in writing due to this company's obviously suspicious and devious business practice. I received it and sent my vouchers back via certified mail from the USPS as I was asked to do. It's been over 60 days and I still have not received my refund despite several calls a week to the company reminding them to send me my money.
