Complaint Review: A M Auto Repair

This shop runs its business by being shady and dishonest.

I bought a car from them this month and they told the car had a newly rebuilt, V6 engine, and that the title was NOT rebuilt. Come to find out the title obviously stated rebuilt, to which they responded with something about the car being repo'ed and that's what shows up on the title (what???). Okay whatever. 

A week later the check engine light came on so I came back in to get it checked out. They said the light is on because it needs premium gas due it being a V6 engine. This didn't sound right to me so I got it checked out by a different, trusted mechanic. The mechanic said the engine is in fact NOT a V6 so the gas story is completely false. The true problem was the catalytic converter which can be costly to fix. I soon realized they have been feeding us a bunch of bull crap and I realized I never got a bill of sale in case I ever do want to take action. I went back in to get a bill of sale and the manager was there. He REFUSED to sign the bill of sale and we got into an argument over it. He was so disrepectful to us just for asking for a receipt! He eventually signed it. Although they said they would fix any problems so it could pass smog, they refused to fix the check engine sign.

Obviously don't go to this shady dump or you will get ripped off and lied to.
