I was rip off by A New Horizon. They are a company that took over Union Financial. I joined the program to help me with getting my creditors to lower my interest rates and make it more manageble to pay my bills. i was not behind on my bills at the time. when i joined i was not informed that the 1st payment would be kept on escrow until i completed the program and they would refund this money back, so i became late on all my bills due to this. I figured i am late now so i will stay with program. i was told that i would complete the program in 2 years. i was happy, becuase on my own i would not be able to do this. i did wonder how.

i never received my contract, i was not worried becuase i felt i had found a way to pay off my bills in 2 years and at the end of 2 years i would get $600.00 back. wow what did have to lose! when i was getting close to the 2 years i asked how was it going to be possible to be paid off in that time. then i was told that they had to re-check and calculate my account and call me back. they took a while to get back to me. when they did they added another 2 years to the program. they say due to the amount that i reported. this did not sound right to me, i should had run at that time but didnt because i had invested time and money. so i stayed and worked on paying another 2 years.

during this time i had to make payments directly to the creditor but before doing so i contacted A New Horizon asking for approval. You see you make payment to A new Horizon and they take 2 weeks to pay the creditors. i was running short and could not give myself 2 weeks-i needed the 2 weeks. when i finally did finish the program i was happy because this had been a hard road for me. i was contacted by letter telling me that i would not get a refund of my money becuase i didnt pay per the contract. i was hurt- i felt cheated-i felt lied to. do you think that if i knew this would happen i would continue with the program and pay them $35-$60 amonth to stay on the program. NO! i would not. they got over $3,000.00 from me and would not give me a small amount like $600.00 to keep good faith. i feel that people should know about these kind of agencies. i was told that any company that charges for this type of service is a rip off.... too bad i found out too late. please help
