A.P.E. Publishing Advantage Publishing I ordered The American Homeworkers Directory and never received the directory that I ordered. When I tried to check on the order, I left messages, sent emails and written correspondence and received Maryland, Missouri
I received correspondence from A.P.E. publishing advertising their Free home mail processing program. The correspondence said they needed honest homeworkers to process their sales brochure and be paid $5 for each brochure processed.
The work would consist mainly of processing requests for information about their company's most popular publication The American Homeworkers Directory. The Home Mail Program was free but you had to buy the Directory for $31 plus postage of $4.
All of it seemed so vague. I could not understand how it would work. I tried talking to someone in the office but could never reach anyone.
It seemed legimate because they had a physical address and payment was to be paid by a credit card (which could be disputed). My mistake.
On April 10, 2013 I completed the order form on line and paid them $37 for express mail delivery with PayPal/Visa. PayPal confirmed they paid A.P.E. Publishing. The confirmation number is 9BL7192175930452P.
Since then I have left messages, sent two emails and written correspondence but have had absolutely no response. I am writing them and requesting a refund and filing a dispute with PayPal.

There is a wealth of information on this "company", alerting you to their sleaziness. As far as their having a legitimate address, its a rented post office box at the UPS Store, which anyone can rent. Its not their physical address, just a mailbox where they receive and can pick up their mail. Doesn't sound very legit to me.
