Complaint Review: A Soft Touch Moving and Storage

AVOID! Their employee stole jewelry from my mother! We used this company to move a few heavy items of furniture from my parents home to ours. The work order was written up telling them to bring a dolly and tools in order to move and hook up appliances. They had neither of these items! They also scratched up my parents stairwell wall!
At one point, my mother discovered one of the movers coming from an area of her home that he should not have been in. She showed him all the items to move and he was NEVER taken to that area of the house. When my mother was preparing to go to bed that evening, she discovered that the small travel jewelry case she had tucked away in her bathroom drawer had a diamond ring, peridot earrings, and amethyst earrings missing, Those items were in there the morning of the move and gone afterwards and these two movers were the only ones in her home. My parents filed a police report and called the manager, who was very short with my father on the phone. The owner called back later and said he would work with police, but offered no apology for his wandering and theiving employee and didn t offer to repair the damage to my parents wall. Sadly, some of this jewelry belonged to my great great grandmother and had a lot of sentimental value. STAY AWAY!
