I have spent more time chasing down the payment for my services than I actually spent at the event! At this point, the money is the last thing I want.

I, too am a DJ waiting to be paid. Same scenario, last minute technique to scam me into doing the job for half the pay, did not know me nor did they ask any questions about my light and sound equipment, just sent over the paperwork via email, the day before the event.

I have been told so many different things (lies) that if I hadn't written everything down, my head would be spinning. Emails have made no impact, phone calls are laughable. Judging from the numerous reports made on this website, and the Better Business Bureau website it is obvious that the business practices of A Solid Gold Sound are truly questionable and utterly irresponsible.

It is my opinion that this company and it's owner:

*Do not have full time DJ/Videographer employees
*Do not pay their contracted vendor's in a timely manner, if at all
*Does not know if the vendor is qualified or if they have proper equipment
*Uses the internet or telephone directory to find vendor's to do the work
*Pays vendor less than half the fee charged to the client for services
*Does not have nationwide locations, operates only from Edgewood, KY
*Uses a handful of 800 numbers all connecting to Kentucky office
*Has no regard for offending clients/vendors or ruining events (ie. weddings)
*Make clients wait months for finished wedding video products
*also doing business as "A Sensory Sound System"

If there are any other vendor's or customers that would like to contact me regarding this company, please do so. If you will notice my username, it also my contact informaton. Please send me any information that might be pertinent with regards to wrong doing on the part of ASGS, and a contact number where we can reach you.

I have an appointment with my attorney Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, at 2 pm to discuss our options with regards to a class action lawsuit.

John twisted my arm to amend my report.... :-) or was it strong-armed? Intimidation? I'm confused! :-(

This morning John Kruer called me and "persuaded" me to amend my comments.

Here goes, follow along and find new comments in (). This reflects my good conscience.

"I have spent more time chasing down the payment for my services than I actually spent at the event! At this point, the money is the last thing I want. (false, I did want the money)

I, too am a DJ waiting to be paid. Same scenario, last minute technique to scam (the term scam might be a stretch) me into doing the job for half the pay, (Is this helping or hurting independent vendors? You decide.) did not know me nor did they ask any questions about my light and sound equipment, just sent over the paperwork via email, the day before the event. (true, also, when I received the work order/songbook via email, I would need lights because the client paid for lights, I don't own lights, I struggled to quickly make contact with someone at ASGS and finally reached JD. I was told by JD that I would be reimbursed for the lights and to go ahead and rent them. I rented them and was not reimbursed)

I have been told so many different things, lies,(sounded like lies to me) that if I hadn't written everything down, my head would be spinning. Emails have made no impact, phone calls are laughable. Judging from the numerous reports made on this website, and the Better Business Bureau website it is obvious that the business practices of A Solid Gold Sound are truly questionable and utterly irresponsible. (this reflects my conclusion after visiting these above mentioned sites)

It is my opinion that this company and it's owner: (as I said, my opinions)

*Do not have full time DJ/Videographer employees (I was told that they only use contracted independent vendors by John Kruer, and is legal.)

*Do not pay their contracted vendor's in a timely manner, if at all (I received contracted fees due after 8 weeks, and it was explained to me that is what is called "60 days term" even though I was originally told 7 to 10 days. At the time of this original posting, I wholeheartedly believed I would not be paid, due to the fact that others had not, or so they said.)

*Does not know if the vendor is qualified or if they have proper equipment (this is true in my case, because no one asked if I had lights and this event specifically needed lights, since then I have invested in lights)

*Uses the internet or telephone directory to find vendor's to do the work (this is how I was contacted and contracted to do the event, I had never heard of A Solid Gold Sound prior to their employee Ron contacting me)

*Pays vendor less than half the fee charged to the client for services (was told by John Kruer that this is standard practice, and it was compared to making and selling cars?)

*Does not have nationwide locations, operates only from Edgewood, KY (every call I made went back to either John himself or the 800 number I was calling gave an 859 area code number (KY) on the recorded message when the message box was full)

*Uses a handful of 800 numbers all connecting to Kentucky office (assumption on my part, but based on my own experience, true)

*Has no regard for offending clients/vendors or ruining events (i.e. weddings)

(this is solely my opinion based on what was found on the internet, via YouTube and Google searches and the BBB, John Kruer told me he "does care", and has "thousands of happy clients to prove it" I asked him about the video made by ABC Channel 9 - WCPO, available on YouTube, with regards to his demeanor & comments made on camera and he said they jumped out at him from the bushes that are around his house, stuck a camera in his face and upset him and that explained his attitude with the reporter)

*Make clients wait months for finished wedding video products (again, based on findings on the internet, via YouTube and Google searches and the BBB, I have no personal experience with the videography portion of ASGS)

*also doing business as "A Sensory Sound System" (true to my knowledge, according to findings online, and same telephone numbers uses by both businesses)

If there are any other vendor's or customers that would like to contact me regarding this company, please do so. If you will notice my username, it also my contact information. Please send me any information that might be pertinent with regards to wrong doing on the part of ASGS, and a contact number where we can reach you.

I have an appointment with my attorney Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, at 2 pm to discuss our options with regards to a class action lawsuit.

(was cancelled the day before the appt. because I received the check/fees due for my services, minus the reimbursement for lights I rented for the event.)
