It has been 6 months now that A Solid Gold Sound has been lying to us, telling us that we'd be receiving our wedding videos soon. We paid in full for their services over a year ago, and we still have not recieved the tapes.

What makes this worse is that the videographer who taped the wedding still has the tapes and he's holding them ransom until he gets paid by A Solid Gold Sound. He has contacted me several times, asking me to pay him. Each time, I explained that I already paid A Solid Gold Sound and I'd contact them to get this sorted out. And each time I contacted A Solid Gold Sound, the "President" of the company (John) would assure me that he was taking care of it. He made many excuses along the way (e.g., he fired the old account manager, he couldn't get in touch with the videographer, they were backed up with many videos, etc.) He still never took care of anything!!

In addition, this videographer told us that he had never videotaped weddings before. (That explains why he was so unprofessional at the wedding!)

The videographer emailed me yesterday and told me that he was leaving for South America in a week and he would no longer be responsible for the tapes!?

This whole thing has been a nightmare! These videos are the only copy of one of the most important days of our lives! I couldn't believe it when I found this website and saw how many other people were going through this same thing due to this company (A Solid Gold Sound.) This is completely unjust!

If you are thinking about using A Solid Gold Sound for your wedding, DO NOT! If you have used A Solid Gold Sound for your wedding, feel free to contact me. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau, and I am looking into legal action.

To clarify: by "fraud" I mean that this does not seem like an ethical way to do business.

As far as deciding whether or not to use A Solid Gold Sound, you can make up your own mind. I am just stating the facts surrounding my situation.
