I went to the AT&t store to see if I could get Hi speed internet that would work at my home in Great Valley. Even though I live on a populated road we do not recieve cable so I had to get Hughesnet for my computer and we also get Dish network. I only play on my computer, Facebook and I like to buy my grandchildren and my children's presents during Christmas time. I have my lower 2 discs removed and I recieve a whopping $425 a month disability. I live with my husband so I am not on any public assistance but since we were used to getting my income along with his, things have been tight. I finally saved up enough money mostly from my kids presents to me, They are all on their own with their own families and I have 5 wonderful grand children who's ages are 16 - 2. I went here and the salesman told me to buy a box that would give me Wi-Fi and also talked me into getting an Apple tablet for the great price of $750. What a bargain, right. Within 48 hours I returned both items because they didn't work, I couldn't get service at my home. They were turned on for a total of 30 minutes. I was told that the manager may give me some of my money back, she had an option of returning $35 for the box or she could take off $80 for the overpriced tablet. I waited in Olean all day for her to return call which of course she never did. The next morning I called right when they opened and then every hour after that because I was worried that I may have to pay the next months bill if she didn't file the paper work. Finally one of the boys told me she had been in store all morning but she just left for lunch. He said he would make sure she called. Of course she didn't I finally made contact. I had 3 days to use 10GB for setting up items but didn't use hardly any thing before I realized equipment wouldn't work. AT&T representatives on the phone said that if she didn't take care of it I wouldn't be able to get any of my money back. She said she would give me $35 back on equipment which meant I would lose $150 for being dumb enough to believe the sales person but I am old and took him at his word. How did I know that it wouldn't matter if I lost my money as long as he made his. This is his full time job. Finally 5 days later this manager whom I only spoke to on phone and saw leaning against the counter while setting up my account calls me back, actually after I left another 8 messages for her to do so. She then tells me I have to bring in my credit card to get my money back. I had already made 4 trips there and back at 45 miles each time. I asked why she couldn't just put it back on my credit card. She said I only could put it on one of my accounts or bring the card in. I asked her what accounts I didn't have any, she then told me, Oh well you never told anyone to cancel your account and you have ravng up a $171 bill for the next month. At that point I lost it and she informed me I could pick up my F-----ing equipment and take it else where . I have been on phoine non stop with AT&T. I finally got them to drop the bill for the month I never even had the equipment for but lost all of my original payment of $183. So buyer beware if this woman is still working at the AT&T place go to Walmart and do your business there. I pitting her for having nothing better to do with her life but hurt people and I pray to God no one else has to go through what I did. She needs all of our prayers but keep your money safe.
