A Team Moving and Storage The most unethical and incompetent people I have ever incountered Plano , Texas
I
After I was stood up by the first moving company the day before, I started to make some calls to other companies. I spoke with Mary at A-team moving & storage, who became my rep. Mary stated that she could have my stuff to me in 5-7days from pick-up, probably more like 5 because they already had a delivery in
FYI, I cant account for all the times Ive called and left messages with no return calls. I called and spoke with dispatch who told me they had to order a new truck and they were hoping to get it tomorrow, 6/12/10, and it would then promptly be loaded and on its way. No call. I called a few days later and was told that the truck was loaded and on its way and that the driver would be giving me a call. No call.
6/15/10 I called and talked with Mary to find out when my things would arrive. She said she has a message into dispatch and would let me know drivers phone number. If I didnt get a call back by this afternoon, to call when I get up the next morning. No call back.
6/16/10 I called and got drivers number, who I promptly called to find out ETA. Curtis said, I just left yesterday, so it will be 2-3 days. He said he would call me 24 hours out to set up delivery.
6/18/10 I still had received no call, I called A-Team @ 0832PT LM with Mary. I then called Curtis @1723 PT and left a message. No call back.
6/19/10 I received a call from the driver, Curtis, letting me know he will be delivering on Sunday, 6/20/10. Curtis proceeded to tell me he was going to have to charge me an extra charge for the extra stairs. I told him my previous conversation with Mary Oking the stairs at no charge and he said he would have to talk to his boss, Avi. Curtis called back and told me I needed to call Avi and get it worked out. When I spoke to Avi I explained my previous arrangement with Mary, and he stated he didnt know why she would say that but he wouldnt charge me extra. I want to point out that if it was such an issue, why didnt he charge me it at the pick-up.
6/20/10 Movers came and began unloading. I was to check off numbers as they were unloaded. It was hard to do because there were some duplicate numbers. Upon unwrapping one of my bookcases, damage was found at the corners of it and was noted on log. It was also discovered that my King size mattress was missing. Curtis called Avi, Avi called back and said another driver in
Curtis then told me that there was no breakdown or new truck, he said that A-Team didnt have a driver to drive the stuff. Curtis reported that he had been on the road since 5/21 and when he finally got back to
6/21/10 Curtis called to report that the TV is not on the truck and that, after having to go look, Avi found it in the warehouse. I called and spoke to Avi who told me the driver would pick up the TV in
6/23/10 1428 PT I called to Avi, but mailbox was full. I called A-team and spoke to Earl and he said that Avi was on the other line when I called. He took my number and said that if I dont hear from him in 15 minutes to call Avi back. I spoke with Avi and he said that truck should be here tomorrow, 6/23/10, and that it should be in Vegas in about 3 days. I said so Friday? He said yes Friday, and then slipped in or Sat. Then stopped and said, let me talk to him and find out for sure before I tell you so I know what Im talking about. I quipped that that would be a good idea. No call back. It was discover while unpacking that one of my nightstand drawers is damaged/broken as well.
6/24/10 0838 PT, I called Avi and got voicemail which was full. I then called Avi and talked to Earl again who said took my number again and said he would call me. No call back so @ 1141 PT I call Avi and he said that he cannot find my TV frame. I let him know about the damaged nightstand as well and he instructed me to start a claim for the damage and lost items. Avi then went on to tell me that the driver is on his way back today and that it would be until next that Id get my things. I asked why it was taking so long when he told me it would be here by Friday, Avi said he never said that. He told me I need to be patient. I expressed to him that I feel I have been very patient considering the circumstances and that since day one everything he has told me has been a lie. He said he didnt know what I was talking about, and after relaying the history he said he didnt know why the driver told me that, that he is supposed to be on his side. He doesnt know why he would make that up. I said, why would he. I told Avi that what he is saying made sense and the fact that your changing your story again just add validity to what the driver said. He said that as far as the delivery, it had been delivered in the required timeframe. I quickly corrected him and pointed out that it was delivered in 16 days, not the required 14 days, and lets not forget that a delivery date of 5-7days was originally promised to me. Avi said he has had my number, so he couldnt call me but now he sees my cell phone number on his call log now so he can call me. I told Avi he has had my number before because I have called him several times on my cell, not to mention it is on my documents. He said all he has had is a 702 number, which I agreed I had called him on a land line a few times, but the majority of calls have been on my cell, which I have a record of. He said he will get it to me as soon as possible and he would call me when the driver is 24 hours out from
6/30/10 No Word
7/1/10 0810 Called Avi, he said the mattress got to

7/6/10 0919 Called Avi, left message
Called A-Team, spoke with Mary, she said Avi wasnt coming in till the afternoon and she would give me a call back after speaking
with him.
1430 Spoke with Mary, Avi still is not in and is not answering phone. She said she would keep trying and will call me back.
7/7/10 0950 Spoke with Mary. She stated she talked with dispatcher and they are to be leaving today or tomorrow at the latest, and that I am the first stop. She said she would call me back when they had left.
7/8/10 1440 I called Mary, she checked with dispatch and they told her she it was scheduled to leave this afternoon. She said she would call me if it left by 1730
7/9/10 1000 Mary called to tell me the truck left last night. And gave me the drivers name and number Alex 818-486-8855 and that I was his first stop.
I called the driver he informed me that I was the last stop after he goes to OK and NM, I was the last stop. He said he should be here by Sun, then he said Mon, then he said Tues at the latest.
1230 Mary reported she talked to Dispatcher and he stated that my things did not get loaded on the truck it was originally supposed to, so they put it on the first truck that was coming west and it has stops on the way. She then told me they would give me $75 as compensation for telling me I would be the first stop and Im not. They still have not offered any compensation for the other stuff, including the delay.
7/12/10 1430 LM with driver wondering if he was going to make it tomorrow, Tuesday, like previously promised. No return call.
7/13/10 0715 Called driver, he states he is still in
730 I then called Mary at A-team and she said she was unaware of any delays and that she would look into it.
735 Mary called back and said she spoke with dispatcher and he stated he was also unaware, but would call the driver and find out what the delay was. She said she would call me back when she finds out.
815 Mary called back and said the dispatcher said it is going to take until Monday or Tuesday of next week, with no explanation as to why. They are going to offer me $50 more dollars.
947 LM with Avi
7/19/10 0848 Driver states he had loaded my things on another truck, switched drivers. He gave me Victors number 8183255538. Victor says that he will be here Wed, Thursday. He stated he was going to Finally a few days later my stuff was delivered.
I had done a charge back because I had no clear indication if was going to get my things, having taken 60 days to get it to me so I did a charge back on my card. In the meantime A-Team had sent me the promised "125 measly dollars for lat delivery. Once I received my things the charge back was reversed, so I tried to cash the check, but A-Team had put a stop payment on it. They revised the settlement saying I owed them the money for the stop check. So in a year I still haven't received any money for 60 day late delivery and damaged/lost items.

Don't want to deal with charge backs? Then deliver at least within a reasonable few days of what the scheduled delivery should be, instead of NOT delivering in a reasonable time frame. Place a customer under the gun to dispute a charge before the grace period for doing so ends, and charge backs are what you get. Your delivery logistics are not the customer's headache. They're yours. Do what's necessary to delivery on time, or don't take the jobs.

Since the customer has posted many untruths we cant possibly rebuttal all of them. We
will simply like to state we were late for delivery but the customer was
informed every step of the way, she was provided a status every other day. We offered the
customer a compensation of $125.00 for the delay and $45.00 for the claim for damages.
Making the total compensation $170.00. The customer performed an illegal chargeback causing us to lose $50.00 in bank fees. We cannot be liable for that fee; therefore the total compensation for the customer is $120.00. The check will be re-issued today in this amount. It is sad and horrible to see how customers would lie in the internet about others or about companies.
