A Wedding For You company has lock on weddings on some cruises, and is gouging Davie Florida
My wife and I booked a cruise on Celebrity..
Celebrity and some of the other major cruise line sub-contract their wedding and renewal of vows packages to a little outfit in davie, FL called a wedding for you. A wedding for you wanted to charge us $450 for 15 minutes of any ship's officer's time...
No kidding.. All we asked for was to get one of the ships officers' to help us in going over our vows again.. and for this they wanted $450!! Then Karen (the woman we spoke to at the company) said if we didn't like it, we could just go somewere else!!
This company has somehow managed to wiggle their way into being the co-ordinators for weddings and vow renewals on cruise ships-> it's an incredible rip off. Most of the "special packages" on thier website can be booked directly with the hotels in question for about half of what they're gouging people..
I have no problem with people trying to make a buck, but gouging young couples by doubling their fees just 'cause they don't know to look at the hotel site is wrong...
