Complaint Review: A-Y Transport Inc.

I recently contracted with A-Y moving company to move my residence from Redwood City to Roseville. I received a quote, which is attached below, for $1,000 labor. The estimate included 4 movers, a truck, et. al. in the E-Mail below. They called the day before to confirm the pickup at between 9 - 10am. They did not arrive until 11:30am. They were there for 8 hours packing the truck. I was in contact with Ronny (Estimator below) that entire day and continually asked if the estimate was in line with the work they were doing.

When I received this quote from Ronny, he told me that he estimated 2.5 hours to load, 5 hours to drive to and from Roseville and 2.5 hours to unload. They took 8 hours to load with only 3 guys at $92 an hour instead of $110 and the driver left for 1 hour during the move to pickup blankets he had forgotten. I told Ronny that the pickup would be Thursday and the delivery would be Sunday.

When the driver arrived at my new home in Roseville (again 2 hours late), he had a bill totalling $2,860.00 for the move. The details per my recollection are as follows:
Loading: ' $768
Travel from RWC to storage: $41
Moving stuff from truck to storage: $368 - Never mentioned by Ronny
Moving stuff from storage to truck: $368 - Never mentioned by Ronny
Travel to Roseville from storage: $5- -?
Unloading: $276?

Upon questioning the driver, he contacted the owner and the owner told the driver to leave with my stuff and that I can contact the office tomorrow (Monday). They would not unload, even after I told them I would pay their fee to retrieve my stuff!

I will probably end up paying whatever it is they charge to get my stuff but I wanted other possible buyers to be aware - Do Not Use A-Y Moving and Storage.
