A1 Travel Reservations - Magical Memory Vacations A1 travel reservations Ripoff dishonest lied about several things Casselberry Florida
A1 travel reservations (magical memory vacations) is totally dishonest and lied about several things. when we purchased our florida vacation package they told us we would only have to take one 90 minute tour and presentation. then we found out later that we actually had to take two tours during our vacation.
when i revieved my vacation package paperwork in the mail it told me that i now had to send in a $58 non-refundable fee. i called and asked why i had to send in more money since i had already paid for my package in full. they said this was just an extra fee for any other costs that they might have. LIKE WHAT??? i asked?? no one said there was more money to pay. i was told i had paid in full when i purchased the vacation and paid with my credit card. i had to pay the extra fee or they would not set up my vacation for me.
we were also told that we had paid for our vacation package in full and that we were not responsible for any more charges. we were very skeptical so we had the "travel consultant" put that in writing so we would be able to take the letter with us on our vacation. when we arrived at our condo in florida we checked in and were told that we were responsible for the taxes. we showed the manager of the condo our letter from A1 travel stating that "we were paid in full and not responsible for any other charges". we were told by the manager that the letter meant nothing and we had to pay the taxes...PERIOD!!
we were also told we would recieve a bonus vacation for free airline tickets and 3 days in either Jamaica, Cancun, or Las Vagas. So far we have not recieved this and we were told by A1 travel that they had nothing to do with this bonus vacation and that it was offered by SCD Marketing, which is their marketing company. they gave me phone numbers to reach this SCD marketing, none of which work, and also an address. I sent them a letter, certified mail, one month ago, to request my bonus vacation and never heard anything back.
this company sucks you in by promising you that you will recieve this "fabulous bonus vacation" when you return from florida and you send them proof that you took BOTH of the tours and presentations that are required. we did everything that was required of us because the only reason we did this thing was to get the free bonus vacation. but after you do all this then they don't fulfill what they promised. they say there is nothing we can do.
don't believe what this company tells you one the phone because they will tell you anything to make you happy and then when its time to fulfill what they offer they act like they don't know anything and don't give you what they promise.
