AA Family Dental Group0 Jasleen Brar, DDS Dental HMO Ripoff of Members Tustin, California
Just as with Thomas, I went to AA Family Dental and had a similar experience. In addition, I had some of the services that were recommended because I was in pain. Before I could be treated, I had signed for a credit card to the tune of over $1600. My insurance was billed and paid for some of the services and several services were not recognized by my insurance as either not a benefit or over the recognized amount. The amount that was over the recognized should have been written off but instead I had already paid for it with the credit card. They gave me the same statement, that they didn't bill the codes the insurance recognized. Then why did they sign up for the HMO if they weren't going to bill the services recognized. How many different kinds of crowns are there that are porcelain fused to high nobel. I had to finish the one crown because it was already paid by myself and my insurance company. What should have cost me approximately $130 for a crown ended up costing me and my insurance over $2000. If you have HMO coverage, don't wait until you are in pain. Check it out before hand and get an estimate and don't sign up for Care Credit. If you don't pay before one year, they hit you with 22.98% interest back to day one! I am paying mine off before the 1 year, you better believe it. I am now on a PPO plan and going to a fair dentist. Don't go to this office!!
