As a member of AAA for 25+ years, I am always addressed by AAA "our valued member," etc. However, I had one incident (by a self-admitted speeding driver), that resulted in no damage to my car since she hit my left bumper and minor damage to her sidefront. She asked for $200 for repairs, but I reported it to AAA instead. No word from AAA until they sent my annual insurance quote --- and my insurance was up $500 per year for three years. Her repair bill to her entire car was $3600.00 -- up $3400.00 from what was needed. Why was I not told? No amount of calls on my part, to the claims division and to the CEO who "personally" signs the annual quote letter resulted in anything but impersonal return calls quoting their "policy."
And I was told that AAA insurance is more expensive ($500 a year) because the car is insured for anyone driving it -- though no one else drives my car.
My insurance wasn't "raised" but they charged the highest amount and gave me no deductions this year, making AAA highest among insurance companies.
Fraudulent advertising.
