My best friend decided to look for a mobile home to buy. After visiting several mobile home dealers in the upstate, she decided on one from AAA Discount Homes, Inc. in Mauldin, SC. She asked me to consider being roommates and buying the home together. After the decision was made to buy the mobile home, the salesman (and president) were told I would trade my mobile home as down payment.

My mobile home had been previously paid off. My trade amount was $9,500, and my roommate paid $1,500 down payment. We both signed the contract. When the statement arrived a few weeks later, it only stated her name. The salesman, David King, was contacted, and he said "Don't you remember I told you it had to be in her name? I stated "No, I do not!" She stated the same. It had been agreed that I was trading my mobile home, and the new mobile home was to be in BOTH names. We still adamantly refute that we had been told otherwise.

We contacted the Better Business Bureau. To support their claim, the president, Dan H. Knight, submitted a forged contract to the BBB. After learning this, an attorney was contacted. She stated that it was "deplorable business behavior and the markings of fraud." She also stated including the fraud and lying, there was a breach of contract, and unfair trade practices. Unfortunately, nothing could be resolved by legal action because there was "no damage", we had the new mobile home. The complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau. The action was taken solely for the benefit of the company and the sales commission for the salesman.

I had worked and paid for my previous mobile home IN FULL, however, they took it upon themselves to "make the transaction go smoothly" by forgery and lying because of my credit history.

I had been honest with the salesman and told him the circumstances behind that situation, and we also told him it was to be in both names. On the other hand, he was not honest with us, and DID NOT advise us of any problems encountered. This situation can be resolved between my roommate and I, no problem there, we've been friends for over 30 years. AAA Discount Homes, Inc. is entirely another matter, "deplorable business practice" indeed.

Rebuttal:
We bought a trailer from AAA mobile homes in headland ala. We have had the tub replaced twice. Now again in the same place as the other ones the tub is agained cracked. The company no longer sells spiral trailers and they say there is nothing they can do. When in fact the people they had that put the tub in before said there was a defect. So my question is who is gonna pay to have my tub fixed. May I add I'm being nice at the
moment!!!!!!
