Spoke on the phone after an internet search. Felt comfortable bringing my New Home 3-spool serger in for service. Got there to drop it off, was ignored for 5+min., then was surprised to hear a $125.00 deposit was required to even look at it, in addition to having my machine (the usual repair collateral). After telling them it skipped a stitch, the baseplates were found tio be broken, called to request apporval to order parts (2 plates-rolled hem and reg., $25 ea.). Said O.K., b/c well under  $125.00 deposit. After parts came in, was quoted $389.00 for repairs.

After realizing what I heard, I told them I cannot afford their rates. I'll cut my losses and pick up the parts and my machine without service. Their tone changed and I ended up being hung up on. Saturday mornig I get a call from the manager, Haz, and was offered parts and service for additional $49.00. At this point all credability is lost, and I just want my machine b/c I no longer trust their words or service. Haz tells me he'll call when I can pick up my machine, they have to put it back together. I wait until Wed. to call, Haz answers and acts like he doesn't know me and will look into it then call me back. 4:40p Wed. he calls back, my machine is ready. I bring a friend as witness on Friday to get my machine and parts. They sent back the parts (to spite me), give me my machine (unthreaded, came in threaded) and KEEP ALL OF MY $125.00. My budget is blown, and all I get is an expensive lesson and a non-working machine back. TOTAL RIP OFF!
