The Denver, CO chapter is an extremely TOXIC group.  I've been bullied by the chapter leader. He is a rather heavy person, also a narcissist,  and he likes to throw his weight around.  At that point, I resigned from volunteering with the group in 2009.

I've also been bullied by a female member in 2009--this gal screamed at me repeatedly in front of several other people.  I had never been spoken to like this before, I was left shaking for several hours after the incident. The chapter leader and his wife were in the room, and took no action to stop this nasty women from bullying me.  This woman is just a plain nasty person all the time.

I do NOT attend chapter meetings, and will NOT attend chapter meetings again.  This group is NOT a safe group for females to attend.

As with toxic groups, having a toxic leader tends to attract toxic attendees.  The nice and healthy people stop attending, and all you are left with are toxic attendees.

I strongly suggest females do NOT attend this group, you will regret it.
