Complaint Review: Aaleen Cox

Aaleen moved into one of my properties  in Oregon. At first glance, she seems nice and a stand up person. The day she moved in, she lied and said she had mailed a check to cover first month rent and deposit. I never received it.

When I confronted her about it. She was apologetic and paid the following month's rent and asked for additional time to figure out what happened to the first month rent and deposit check.

From that day forward, she failed to pay rent for the next (3) months and also failed to pay the first month rent and deposit. She was full of excuses as to why she couldn't pay rent, including that her bank account had been "hacked" and that she had been in a "car accident", but at the same time, she was traveling all over the US and even over seas with her then boyfriend and flaunting her extravant trips all over social media. 

I evicted her from my property and she still took 30 days to leave. Leaving the place dirty and messy. It has been over 6 months and she still has not paid the owed rent, but continues to travel and flaunt her trips all over social media. I am working to send her to collections for the unpaid rent and for it to be reflected on her credit history as an effort to hopefully protect other landlords in the future from her irresponsible and fraudulent behavior.

I strongly advice: Do not rent to to Aaleen Cox, Aaleen Cecile Cox
