Complaint Review: AAMCO Russ Dizio

Elizabeth~~~~~I spoke to Russ directly he sounded very kirt with me an refered to your transmission as a 340,I'm sure he did not know that a 340f is a toyota an the jeep model is a AW4 transmission basicly the same but different (this is a commomn mistake) i explained to him about his shop being put on the internet an that it was not in his favor. He was unaware of this.His attitude towards me trying to get information to sort out the actual cause of the complaint was not very coperative he rushed me off the phone to defuse the conversation. I was asking him technical questions about the diagnosis when he opted to get off the phone~~~~~he could of offered me to speak to the actual diagnostician if he was realy interested in solving your problem ~~~when there is a problem with diaganosis,any shop would like help for free. I gave him this site so he can respond directly for his input.My opinion is this~~~~~possibly he does not have the personel to really diagnosis this problem properly~~~~during the initial checkout that is documented before the actual repair is done a (DTC) diagnostic trouble code check "MUST" be done prior to the actual damage repair to eliminate a future repair under the warranty~~~In other words~~~~do the whole repair so that it is actualy fixed not just sellin a transmission then have to deal with the complaints an do it all backwards~~~~~maybe this was the original complaint~~~~I don't know~~~~~~if it was and the transmission was not slipping or the friction material internally was not burnt you are the one that was burnt~~~and if the transmission was actualy damaged or slipping under load this was possibly the actual cause of failure~~with pressure tests this could be determined along with the (dtc) check~~~~he said that you would bring in the jeep next week~~~~to check why it takes more time to shift from first to second~~~~~~I hope this helps you with some info~~~~~~~~THE TRANZMN

Pease give me a little info you "must" be more specific so i can help you. The transmission is not shifting again for the 5th time. They have tried to fix this transmission for about 4 months now and can not get it right.
