Aamco Transmission crooks gastonia North Carolina
Aamco in Gastonia, NC is a total rip off. My boyfriend took the transmission out of my 2004 Mustang GT so it wouldn't cost 500.00 more for them to pull it out. The problem was it wouldn't go into gear at all and second when it did go into gear was grinding. So we paid them 650.00 to fix it. We get the transmission back and put it back in the car after putting 3 & 1/2 quarts of transmission fluid in it and take it for a test drive. Guess what......second gear was still grinding and fifth was completely gone. So we take it back only the whole car this time. We drop it off on a Thursday late afternoon and on Friday they call and say we didn't put any transmission fluid in it. So I tell them that's not true 5 people were witnesses to us putting in 3 1/2 quarts. She calls me the lier and wants 600.00 more to fix something they didn't fix the first time. So I wouldn't take my dog to get a bath done by these crooks.

He was kind enough to ask me was I ok and told me the truck was safe . Long story short I stayed with friends in Dallas N.C untill June 19th . The transmission that was brought into our center does not belong to the woman that wrote the complaint, it belongs to her mother. The transmission was rebuilt and when it was picked up by the daughter's boyfriend, he was given specific instructions about putting fluid in the transmission before test driving. The boyfriend called the center concerning the problem of it still grinding in 2nd. He was asked to bring the car into the center for us to check. He brought it in. The first step to check the vehicle was to check the fluid level. This was done and the result was that no fluid registered. 3 1/2 quarts were added, this was documented by taking a picture of the gauge. When the boyfriend expressed that he did put the fluid in, our next step was to drain all the fluid out which came to almost 4 quarts this would account for the 3 1/2 quarts we added and the 1/2 quart which was used to lubricate the inside of the transmission when it was built. After discussions with the owner of the car, at which time we invited her to come in and see for herself, she asked us to go ahead and take the transmission out of the car and open it up. The transmission was opened and the sychronizers were burnt, again the owner was invited to come in and bring another mechanic to look at the results. The owner has requested that we fix this vehicle. No one was called a liar, only the facts were stated.
