I had my mom's 2005 Kia Sedona towed to AAMCO Transmissions doing business as R & L Transmissions Inc. I was told my car will be checked for free. Two day later I got a call from Mike and I was told by him he needed to pull down the transmission and the cost will be $450.00 however that amount would be deducted from the bill should I decide to use them. Mike then faxed me a paper to authorize the transmission be pulled down and the fee of $450.00 I signed the paperwork, gave him the last four digits of my Social Security Number and authorized him to charge the $450.00. However, a few days later Mike called me and advised me that he had fixed my mom's van and the total bill was $2,600.00 of which $1,400.00 - $1,600.00 was in labor only. I asked Mike why did I not get a written estimate faxed to me or even a phone call before the work was done on the van to my amazement this liar had the audacity to say he told me. NEVER was this a part of any conversation that I had with this man. I asked Mike why would I pay a company to fix my mom's van for $2,600.00 plus tax; when I could have gotten someone else to fix it for $1,800.00 total even with the $450.00 that they charged me to pull the engine down I would still be below what they charged. I expressed to Mike he first said he will be putting it on the computer and the computer should be able to tell him whats wrong with the van. I never heard why the computer the van was hooked-up to was not able to tell him what was wrong with the transmission. This company represents themselves as Transmission Experts they are full of it. They should say they are con-artist, theives, liars and RIP-OFF ARTIST. DON'T BE FOOLED!!!!

Same guy and shop  ripped me off too on a clutch  , when I called him on it slimebag actually stated his clutch parts were better than the other shops that qouted better price , lol what trash ! Charged double what anyone else would have charged , got me on the hook for that 450 and once your there even though price is rippoff if you take somewhere else will still cost you more plus the 450 for doing nothing  , thats what he does then you basically are screwed . Stay away from this d****e bag shop !!!!!!!!!!

The manager mentioned in this report who's name is Mike also gave me a lot of run around answers when my cars transmission broke. Twice ! He actually admitted to me that on the first transmission job they installed a faulty seal that caused all the fluid to leak out very slowly and be ruined. I can only imagine the dozens of others who just dont do anything when this happens. He left Gold Coast and is now at Aamco. Wonder why? I filed another report on here about them. I am very mad at them.. but this time will bring a LOT of attention to their bad and hurtful business practices.

This woman "Anna" was treated professionally and informed every step of the way through the transmission repairs to her parent's vehicle. We were informed by her parents that she was under major pressure at her job and we were basically the victim of her anger. They signed a statement indicating this and that they were very pleased with our services. They apologized for their daughter's irrational behavior and vulgar mouth.

All of us at AAMCO of Hollywood, strive for Top Quality Customer Service.There are numerous awards and letters hanging in our waiting room expressing Outstanding Customer Satisfaction. Customers pickup their vehicles everyday..happy and stating that they will refer more customers to us.

We empathize with this customer, as she apparently is under extreme stress, we did everything possible to assist her, but unfortunately, she was emotionally unstable.
